Shine a Light is the soundtrack to the Rolling Stones concert film of the same name, directed by Martin Scorsese. It was released in April 2008. Two different versions were released, one a double disc and the other a single disc.

Shine a Light is the ninth concert album to be released by The Rolling Stones. This collection, like the two 2006 shows it was culled from, features no performances of songs from their 2005 album A Bigger Bang. The two-disc version features all but two of the songs played on the two nights; the missing numbers are "Undercover of the Night" (included as a bonus track on the Japanese edition and as a download on itunes) and "Honky Tonk Women."

Bow Wow and Omarion- Face Off

Full-length pairups between R&B and rap/ hip-hop artists are nothing new. (See R. Kelly and Jay-Z's "Unfinished Business.") On this outing, teen heartthrobs and tour mates Bow Wow and Omarion team for an album that builds on their 2005 hit merger "Let Me Hold You." The result doesn't disappoint. One of the strongest tracks is the engaging groove of lead single "Girlfriend," on which the two artists rhythmically and lyrically draw portraits of their romantic ideals. Natasha Bedingfield - Pocketful of Sunshine

On Pocketful of Sunshine, Natasha Bedingfield sounds like Joss Stone only bouncier. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, the brightness and buoyancy of this record will keep it spinning long after CDs that shoot for hipster credibility--with funked-up bells and fancy production whistles--have been deposited back into their jewel cases for all eternity. Check it out: "Love Like This," with Sean Kingston, puts its hands in the air for puppy love--the kind that'll bring you back to your "middle school kiss"--and a couple of other songs follow the youth-themed suit. "Backyard" time-travels to an idyllic childhood, while "Freckles" fleshes out, for the benefit of the insecure, the beauty in imperfections. Elsewhere, Bedingfield is her indomitably upbeat self. Opener "Put Your Arms Around Me" reeks of reassurance and tenderness. "Happy" implores would-be gloom-and-doomers to snap out of it, and while the title track doesn't wander all that far lyrically, it benefits from a chanted verse brimmed in (positive) attitude. The vibe, overall, is beach-blanket warm and blue-sky ready. Sunshine earns a pocketful, if not more, of pop-music props.

Lil Wayne - Tha Carter III (2008)

After most of the album leaked on the Internet in mid-2007, Lil Wayne used the leaked tracks, plus four new songs to make an album titled The Leak. The Leak was to be officially released on December 18, 2007, with the actual album being delayed until June 10, 2008. When questioned about the unplanned leak, Lil Wayne said:

We have to find out exactly what's out there. I'll probably just [collect] all the songs that's floating around and make my own mixtape called "The Leak" since people want the music so bad. To tell you the truth though, there's a song I did with Kanye West out there—of course you want to save that for your album, but the rest of them songs probably wouldn't have made the album. There's a song floating around that says 'produced by Timbaland'; Tim didn't produce that record though.

On May 24th, 10 second snippets of multiple songs were leaked onto AT&T Media Mall. On May 30th-31st, Tha Carter III was leaked internationally. The first of the leaks were distributed on May 30th at around 8pm where five songs from the track list were available on the internet. Hours later on May 31st at 12am-1am the whole album was leaked and posted on various websites for free download. The DJ responsible for the leaks was DJ Chuck T who retaliated for an interview conducted by Wayne, where he discredited all DJ's and the mixtape scene days before.

"The record is called Departure for a number of reasons," says Jesse McCartney, whose multi-platinum 2004 debut album Beautiful Soul launched his career as an international singing star. "There have been departures in my career, in my personal life. I've learned a lot since doing my first couple of records. I think I've landed in the most comfortable place I've ever been musically as the style of music, my vocals and the lyrical content of the songs on this album. I co-wrote several songs on the new album, and learned a lot from the producers I worked with. In the process of writing for my own project, I wound up writing "Bleeding Love" with Ryan Tedder for Leona Lewis. Departure has a little more of mature sound than what my fans previously heard from me but this is the road that I'm on right now and it's the road that I believe they'll join with me!" With star writers and hit making producers such as Sean Garrett (Usher, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Gwen Stefani, Pussycat Dolls, Chris Brown), Tricky & The-Dream (Rihanna, Mariah Carey), J.R. I've experienced all the ups and downs of relationships people my age go through.
